What Are The Nonmetals On The Periodic Table
Camila Farah

Elements to the far right of the periodic table are nonmetals.
Some nonmetals are liquids. Non metal elements are on the right of the stepped line metals are on the left of the periodic table and non metals are on the right. These elements are shown in the following figure. Atomic structure and the periodic table elements in group 1.
These elements have similar chemical properties that differ from the elements considered metals. Non metals are the species that gain electrons to become stable. At ordinary temperatures and pressures hydrogen behaves as a nonmetal. Non metals can be easily located on the periodic table because they are to the right of the line that looks like a stepping ladder.
The exception is hydrogen h the first element on the periodic table. However since it is a noble gas it is instead placed above neon in the p block. Unlike metals which are excellent conductors of electricity and heat a nonmetal can be an insulator or a semiconductor. Non metals the non metals or non metallic elements.

Helium as an s block element would normally be placed next to hydrogen and above beryllium. Hydrogen h carbon c nitrogen n oxygen o phosphorus p sulphur sulfer s selenium se uuo may belong here and the noble gases form a relatively small group with a step like pattern towards the left hand side of the periodic table hydrogen being the odd one out on the right of the table. Hydrogen h carbon c nitrogen n oxygen o phosphorus p sulfur s and selenium se. Apart from hydrogen nonmetals are located in the p block.
