What S The Difference Between A Mole And A Freckle
Olivia Luz

Moles that are larger than a pencil eraser should be checked for cancer.
Freckles are small usually pale brown areas of skin which are often temporary and are usually caused by exposure to the sun. Moles originate in deeper skin layers than freckles. The more significant difference between moles and freckles is that freckles rarely develop into skin cancer. Moles are often raised from the skin s surface while freckles tend to be flat.
What s the difference between a freckle and a mole. Moles are areas of darker pigmented brown or brown black on the skin. The overproduction of melanin which causes freckles to appear often only changes the skin on a surface level. Freckles are simply skin cells that form melanin or melanocytes that have either appeared or darkened due to sun exposure.
Fair skinned people will often get a freckle instead of a tan but not a mole. Moles are also generally darker in color than freckles. On the other hand more serious growths like moles can be symptomatic of cancer or another disease. Freckles cannot turn cancerous but moles can.
