Reptiles on the other hand have adapted to live completely on dry land.

The earliest amphibians called temnospondyls were typically 1 5 to 5 feet long and the first tetrapods to walk on land. They are vertebrates and cold blooded like amphibians. The major difference between amphibians and reptiles are amphibians can breathe both through lungs and gills and exhibits external fertilisation whereas reptiles can only breathe through lungs and reproduce through internal fertilisation. Reptiles have dry and scaly skin whereas amphibians feel moist and sometimes rather sticky.

Amphibians are organisms that live a dual life. Reptiles are cold blooded vertebrates that live on land and have epidermal scales covering part or the entire surface of the body. Also amphibians lay eggs in the water and their young have gills to survive in the water. They can live on land as well as in water.
