At this age your baby may be so impressed by one of her newfound abilities that she may get stuck on it for a while.
At 5 months old your baby is like a sponge absorbing all kinds of information about the world from the environment around them. Anything with a beat is good to go. She may need to eat more when she goes through a growth spurt which can happen at any time. Your 5 month old may be showing off big emotions.
Fifth month baby milestones. At 5 months old your baby may be taking four to six ounces of breast milk or formula at each feeding or perhaps even more. She likes to master one skill before moving on to the next. To help your baby sit move their legs to form a v shape which helps them balance.
Physically your baby may be able to sit without much help and probably loves bouncing and jumping with your support. The groundwork for language begins this month so along with talking and reading to your baby play music in your home too. It s all part of normal emotional development. Sleep most babies sleep through the night by five months but not all.

There s no need to make it all baby music either. Fussing when you leave the room rewarding you with sloppy kisses and clinging fearfully to you when someone new approaches. Once they are in this position place a toy in front of them to play with.
