What Are The 3 Types Of Muscle Tissue

Skeletal muscle moves bones and other structures.
Muscle tissue exists in three types cardiac skeletal and smooth and is the most abundant tissue type in most animals including humans. There are 3 types of muscle cells in the human body. There are 3 types of muscle tissues the skeletal cardiac and smooth muscle. Each type has a unique role and function in our body.
Each type of muscle tissue in the human body has a unique structure and a specific role. Muscle is one of the four primary tissue types of the body and the body contains three types of muscle tissue. Skeletal muscle cardiac muscle and smooth muscle. The three types of muscle can be distinguished by both their locations and their microscopic features.
Together these sheets and fibers and known as muscles and control the movements of an organisms as well as many other contractile functions. They all exhibit a quality called excitability as their plasma membranes can change their electrical states from polarized to depolarized and send an electrical wave called an action potential along the entire length of the membrane. Muscle tissue is a specialized tissue found in animals which functions by contracting thereby applying forces to different parts of the body. The skeletal muscle moves our bones and other body structures.

Muscle tissue consists of fibers of muscle cells connected together in sheets and fibers. While the three types of muscles in the human body skeletal cardiac and smooth all facilitate movement they vary greatly in number cells and location. Skeletal muscle is found attached to bones. Each nucleus regulates the metabolic requirements of the sarcoplasm around it.
Cardiac muscle contracts the heart to pump blood. Red fast slow twitch or type i fibers red slow fast oxidative or type iia fibers white fast fast glycolytic or type iib fibers. The smooth muscles tissues form the organs change in shape to facilitate the functions of our body. It consists of long multinucleate fibers.
Muscle tissue is subdivided into three broad categories. There are three types of muscle fibers. Each type of muscle has a specific function in the human body. All three muscle tissues have some properties in common.
