What Is The Difference Between Solid Liquid And Gas Particles

In solids the particles are held tightly by strong intermolecular attraction although in liquids the attraction between particles is intermediate.
A gas will fill any container but if the container is not sealed the gas will escape. The main difference between solid liquid and gas is that solid is a state of matter with tightly packed particles in a specific shape while liquid has loosely packed particles without any specific shape whereas gas has freely moving particles and covers the shape of the container in which it is enclosed. Consequently liquids are much denser than gases. As against this the particles are loosely held because the intermolecular attraction is weak.
They vibrate and move freely at high speeds. Consequently the particles are tightly packed. The particles in liquids have medium energy. Unlike gases which have the free constant and random motion of molecules.
The atoms and molecules in gases are much more spread out than in solids or liquids. There is strong attraction between particles but not as strong as in solids. We have now learnt about the three states of matter and the properties of each. We know one of the ways in which solids liquids and gases are different from each other has to do with the distances between the particles in each respective state.
