What Is The Main Difference Between Solid Liquid And Gas
Camila Farah

Key differences between solid liquid and gas.
Gases do not have a definite shape. Consequently liquids are much denser than gases. While at temperatures above 100 c water is a gas steam. A water like fluid that flows freely having a definite volume but no permanent shape is called liquid.
Solid obviously when at tightest density we imagine oxygen as a gas but if we compress it enough to a higher density it. The intermolecular space is moderate but present. It leaves little space for these particles to move freely and therefore is not easily compressed. When at normal temperatures between 0 c and 100 c it is a liquid.
The force of attraction between the molecules is incredibly high. Water can take many forms. This is also the reason why solids can t take the shape of a container unless forced to. Liquids and gases on the other hand have free space in between the particles that gives them more freedom to move about especially in the case of gases.

Although liquids have more space than solids in between particles they are not easily compressed simply because they don t have enough. Solid liquid and gas occur when an atoms density is increased or decreased. At low temperatures below 0 c it is a solid. Solids have a definite shape to them.
The difference between solid liquid and gas can be drawn clearly on the following grounds. The force of attraction between molecules is pretty moderate. The molecules of a liquid are packed relatively close together. The intermolecular space between solids is absent.
Liquids do not have a definite shape. The density of a liquid is typically about the same as the density of the solid state of the substance. It describes the arrangement movement and energy of particles in a substance. However both have their own distinct properties.
