The body s structure is provided by the skeletal system skeleton which includes bones cartilage and connecting tissues.
Pumping and channeling blood to and from the body and lungs with heart blood and blood vessels. The bones hold up the body and give it structure without bones higher. Digestion and processing food with salivary glands esophagus stomach liver gallbladder pancreas intestines colon. It comprises fluid lymph lymph nodes lymph organs like the spleen tonsils thymus white blood cells and antibodies humeral substances.
Organ systems of the human body the human body consists of eleven organ systems each of which contains several specific organs. The skeleton provides a framework on which the human body is arranged. Table 1 includes the structures and functions of these eleven organ systems. The system of muscles throughout an organism operate to move the organism and stimulate the internal organs.
An organ is a unique anatomic structure consisting of groups of tissues that work in concert to perform specific functions. We will first discuss the muscles before moving on to discuss the skeletal system. It is articulated to allow free movement in conjunction with the skeletal muscles. This system provides a natural defense to the body.
